Oh yeah, New Year!
One more year gone and one more year to come. Feels like I'm getting old.
Where to celebrate New Year this year then?
If you are in KL, here is a list of places to countdown 2011 in Kuala Lumpur!
Among the picks for countdown to the last remaining hours of 2011 from the last weekday issue of the Star:
1. Resort World Genting
Organised by Astro and Genting, there will be shows, firework displays and the finalists of Astro Star Quest and Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant 2011!
Entry to Genting theme park will be free from 10pm onwards to watch the fireworks!
2. Curve, Damansara
Don't miss Jaclyn Victor, Reshmonu and Altimet at the Mutiara Damansara Commercial Centre Party! There will be fireworks at midnight but be warned, the road in front of IKEA will be closed for the street party!
3. Seri Kembangan Garden Explore
There will be a concert here with Alexander, Johnson Lee, Eric Lim, John Wee, Vic Teo and Hazama... not sure who are they though...
A magic show will kick off at 8.20pm...
4. Encorp Strand Kota Damansara
If you are in Kota Damansara and the Curve is to jammed up, don't worry, Mizz Nina, Pop Shuvit, Reza Salleh, Najwa Mahiaddin, Dennis Lau and Shawn Lee will be at Centre Court, Red Carpet Avenue, Encorp Strand from 6pm to 2am!
The party, Mystical Eve 2012 will be hosted by Julie Woon and Megan Tan!
Lots of big names here means big jams as well...
5. Sunway Surf Beach
Every year, Sunway Lagoon will host a count down pay and the 2012 Countdown Concert Party at Sunway Lagoon will feature S.H.E. who apparently turned Korean??? Other Local acts include "Dragon Red, Da.Mon.Ster, Juanophobia and others".
At least there will be hot Korean acts.
If you are feeling a lil generous, for RM80++ watch the countdown from Sunway Hotel (The 5 star one) Choose from the lounge, the poolside or perhaps get a room there :)
6. Bukit Bintang to KLCC
Ah yes, well, have been working here for the longest time... but apparently I will be able to see fireworks from my office...
Says in the Sun that there will be Malaysia Truly Asia show, street concerts and a Wild Wild West party...
If you are up in Penang and you are feeling young at heart...and just fresh from the crowds of the Bersih 2.0 rally... why not drop by Gurney Drive to see some fireworks and rub shoulders with almost every Penangite there.
New Year at the Beach is nice too! Try the beach behind Crown Prince (can't remember what's it called).
As for me, time to spend my free movie tickets on a movie marathon!
Happy New Year 2012 to you!
